App Store Review: What to Prepare Before You Submit

Introduction: Apple and Google both review a new app. The wait is shorter when the listing matches the build. A reviewer who cannot log in, or who sees a screenshot from an old design, sends the app back.

1. Give the reviewer a way in

If the app needs an account, put a test login in the review notes. If a feature is behind a payment, say how to reach it. “Contact us for access” is how a review stalls.

2. Match the listing to this build

  • Screenshots from the version you uploaded, on the right phone size.
  • A privacy disclosure that names the data the app actually collects.
  • A support URL that loads, and a description that does not promise a feature the build lacks.

3. Read the rejection as a checklist

The first rejection is often a missing note, not a rewrite. Fix that item, reply with what changed, and resubmit the same build when the binary did not need to change.

The review is a checklist. Prepare the login, the screenshots, and the privacy note before you press submit.

4. Conclusion

EliteSigma includes the store listing in the release, so the build and the page the reviewer sees are the same product.
