Helpful Content: Pages That Answer a Real Question

Introduction: Search still rewards a page that answers a question a real person typed. The page should say who it is for, answer in the first screen, and offer a next step. A long page that repeats the same sentence in new words does not do that.

1. Write for one question

Pick a question a customer already asks in sales calls or support. The title should be that question, or a close version of it. One page, one job.

2. Show the answer before the sales pitch

  • Put the answer in the opening paragraph.
  • Use a short list when the reader has to compare two choices.
  • Link to the service page only after the answer, so the page is useful even if they do not buy.

3. Remove pages that compete with each other

Two thin pages on the same question split the visit. Keep the stronger page, point the weaker one at it, and stop publishing near-copies.

A page is helpful when a reader can act on it without hunting through the rest of the site.

4. Conclusion

EliteSigma plans the page around the question and the next step, then handles the technical side of search on that same page.
